Metro Catholic’s Drama Club Tells SND Story

April 2019

The Drama Club at Metro Catholic School in Cleveland, Ohio opted for an original production this year titled “If Only”, which helps to celebrate the school’s 30-year history.

“If Only”, directed by Sr. Mary Jean Strathern, tells the story of Metro Catholic School’s beginning, reminding the audience of the three Sisters of Notre Dame who dreamed of something greater for the children and families of Cleveland. This play is a wonderful way to celebrate how far the school has come since the successful merger of three inner city parish schools (St. Boniface, St. Michael and St. Stephen) that formed Metro Catholic in 1988.

Metro Catholic School is a Preschool through Grade 8 program on Cleveland’s Near West Side that serves the educational needs of a diverse and changing population and offers a traditional curriculum along with many special learning programs and services.  Metro Catholic is also a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, a National Green Ribbon School and a member of National Schools That Can.
